NVidia nForce Networking Controller. Device manager shows a yellow exclamation point and the driver properties says 'This device cannot start. (Code 10)'.
I need Help with My Computer Problems I Just did the Clean install to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit from Vista
The only driver posted for my dv6745us on the Hp support drivers site is for WiFi. My Ethernet hardware is not working Neither is My webcam. Everything else seems to work fine with the Vista drivers.
I've updated bios to F32. I have also Installed Hp Vista chipset driver which currently has my Coprocessor working. unfortunately the ethernet drivers fail to install successfully.
I'm requesting for any suggestions for rectifying the ethernet drivers
Appreciate your help.

I would first try Uninstalling the Ethernet adapter from Device Manager and reboot to see if it is corrected. For the webcam did you install Cyberlink YouCam software from your Vista page?

Uninstalling the Ethernet adapter from Device Manager and rebooting did not rectify the problem. As for the webcam Cyberlink YouCam software from the Vista page of the Hp site does not work either because it cannot detect the webcam.

The Nvidia Chipset you installed will have created a directory in C:SwSetupSP37730. Open that and locate the Ethernet driver.Once you are certain of it's path go to Device Manager and try Update driver on the ethernet card.
Right click, Update Driver software
![Nvidia Nvidia](/uploads/1/2/6/0/126031800/140884083.png)
Select 'Browse my computer for software'

Next choose 'Let me pick from a list'
Remove the check from 'Show Compatible Hardware' and click on 'Have Disk'
Next...browse to C:Swsetupsp37730ethernet
Choose the 'inf'.

Ok, when all else fails.. give up & ask MS:
If no joy there, get the Nvidia Chipset from their site. Be sure to only select drivers such as Ethernet to install_no Sedona,Physix,RaidTools, etc. I think it may be on the reboot where you select the drivers to install, it;s been awile.

Hi,
Restart Your system.
On boot press F8 and choose Safe mode.
Go to Control Panel -> Devices Manager -> Network Cards
and find there Nvidia nForce. Click on it with right button of Your mouse and choose uninstall driver.
Restart Your system and this time start it in normal mode.
Install this driver:

As suggested by Daniel, reinstalling the same Nvidia Chipset you previously installed may jump start the Network card. I would probably try it again before the one from Nvidia site.
